For measuring the expansion in volume of edible oils and fats over a temperature range within which melting takes place, Dilatometer body is graduated with an arbitrary scale, from 0 - 0.9 ml, Graduated at every 0.005 ml with clear figures every 0.05 ml, Chamber is filled with oil or fat and the meniscus should be settled on zero when the stopper is in place at starting temperature, Interchangeable stopper has open top to allow weighting with steel balls etc.
